Alison has been associated with greyhounds for over 25 years and used to work part-time for John Honeyset before taking a full-time job with Dave Catterall at Maidstone. Alison joined Romford in March of 2003 and has been at her present kennels since 2000. Bersheda Kennels is sited on two acres of land with kennelling for 150 dogs.

Alison has 28 paddocks (twenty medium sized and eight very large). There is a drag hare for exercising the dogs on the main gallop. All the lastest physio equipment is based at the kennels. There is a separate treatment room with portomag boxes for magnetic field therapy and laser and fototec  and pen for detecting and treating injuries and trapped nerves. There is also a dog walker for when the weather is bad. There is a Phys-assist machine for treating the dogs that get any injury while racing, ultra sound machine and a physio visits the kennels when ever necessary dogs are also sent to George Drake for any treatment required. In 2006 a new jet swimming pool and separate hot water spa was installed for the greyhounds at a considerable cost.

All dogs are fed with plenty of red meat (not Knacker) cooked chicken and eggs with high protein biscuit. Alison is situated on the main A127 road eastbound going towards Southend and within 15 minutes drive from the main schooling track at south Ockendon and the same time away from the greyhound vet John O'Connor.

Alison has has a Kent Derby Finalist, won the Regency in 2005 with Jordans Glory and sent out Pure Paris to reach two Finals in 2006 (Champion Stakes & Rose Bowl).

Most owners visit on Sundays to see their dogs and enjoy the long country walks to be taken behind the kennels. There are 6 full-time and 5 part-time staff at Bersheda helping Alison to get the best out of the dogs in her care.
