David Pruhs has long been established as one of the top trainers in the country and his name is nearly always found at the top end of the Trainers Championship table. Based at The Willows in Lincolnshire, David and his team will travel far and wide in their quest to land Open races of the highest quality and there is literally nowhere they will not travel if they have the right dog.

Boasting one of the most enviable strike rates in Open races, often 40% or higher, David always tries to place his greyhounds to win and is a regular at top tracks Walthamstow, Nottingham, Milton Keynes, Wimbledon and of course Peterborough where he is attached.

His kennels are set in 2 acres and have several grass and all weather paddocks. With a kennel strength of 50 greyhounds, of which approximately 30 are graders and 20 are Open racers, David has 3 full-time staff and 3 part-time staff assisting him. Unlike most kennels, David has a team for the racing side and a team of staff looking after the kennels.

The Peterborough Puppy Derby, The Eclipse (twice), The Select Stakes (twice), The National Sprint and the Peterborough Cesarewitch are just a few of the big races David has won. He has also sent out finalists in the Derby and the St Leger.

David is always looking to increase his kennel strength with both graders and good quality Open class dogs. For owners looking to purchase a quality greyhound, David has excellent contacts in the game and currently has first refusal on the better dogs available for sale.
