Top-class Open card at Walthamstow dominated by Championship leader Mark Wallis. Fear Boo, Lethal Rumble, Allglaze Spider, Sol Late Late and Sofem all score for the Walthamstow handler. There were also wins on the card for Paul Garland (Denwood Star), Seamus Cahill (Senahel Bert & Well Presented), David Pruhs (Hes The Bizz), Paul Sallis (Driving Up) and Mick Puzey with Siesta Frisby.

Title chasing Mark Wallis sends two through to the Coral Puppy Cup Final at Romford as Fear Assassin (Semi 1) wins and ante-post favourite Fear Rein (Semi 2) grabs second place after missing his break. Seamus Cahill takes the third Semi-Final with Droopys Clarke.

Cooly Baloo takes the £1000 Track Bookmakers Standard, Shelbourne Star the October Mini Marathon, Blues Highway the October Marathon and Borna Holiday lands an A4 on the card.

William Hill Grand National news.....1st round Heats underway at Wimbledon. Druids Mickey Jo (28.19) by far the quickest qualifier when winning Heat 6 for Seamus Cahill. Lethal Rumble (28.94) wins Heat 5 for Mark Wallis, and last year's winner Four Handed through for Jim Reynolds after taking 2nd in Heat 1. Baran Shogun & Druids Gorm Blue (Ray Peacock), Taipan (Nick Colton), Cloheena Spiral (Seamus Cahill) and Kelsos Bruno (Jim Reynolds) all qualify.

Brian Clemenson trained Shelbourne Nina wins the Wafcol Midland Oaks by making all to deny the running on Fabulous Sophie. This is the second big win for the daughter of Knockeevan Star who won the Brighton Belle at Hove in August. Derby winner Westmead Hawk lands the Breeders Forum Produce Stakes on the same card.

The Victor Chandler Grand Prix is under way at Walthamstow and there were shocks aplenty with Paul Garland's Never Can Tell (one of the ante-post favourites) crashing out in the first round. Mark Wallis has a strong hand in this year's event and sent out Ronnies Flight, Star Of Dromin, Sofem and January Tiger to win their respective Heats. Mick Puzey also won two Heats with Silbury Fire and Clonbrin Show and all are through to the second round this Saturday.
