Green. 1st semi. Droopys Good Boy made
all in 28.41 to deny odds-on favourite Iceman Ross by 3 1/4
lengths. 2nd semi. Manic Mile was sent of favourite at odds of
1/6 but failed to even qualify after stumbling at the start.
Paul Sallis's promising
Westmead Syd scored by 2 lengths from
Mark Wallis's Discreet
Cat in 28.44. 3rd semi. Fear Haribo looks a very exciting
prospect for
Carly Philpott and recorded easily the fastest time of the
night when clocking 28.27 in his 3 1/4 lengths defeat of Unruly.

Derby, Walthamstow. Courts Ad Queen
recorded the fastest time of the night (28.76) when winning Heat
2. Roswell Starship (28.99) took the opening Heat for
Mark Wallis beating
Mick Puzey's odds-on
shot Harrys Girl by half a length. The lightly raced Spiridon
Louis recorded his personal best time (29.23) to get up close
home and win going away by a length in Heat 4 for
Mick Puzey. Impartial
View (29.09) also showed improved form for
Seamus Cahill and
made all to take Heat 5. (Cahill also took the last 3 races on
the card to secure a four-timer). Cobra Striking (28.89) made
all to secure Heat 6.

the race eventually going to Zigzag Stewart. Daisyfield Seani

Reigning Champion Westmead Hawk landed a thriller to again deny
Mineola Farloe to land back-to-back Derbies. Closer to the pace
than is sometimes the case, he still had work to do to close
down Mineola Farloe and Amarillo Slim and once in the clear, he
simply took off at the run-in to get up close him by 3/4 of a
length in 28.44 secs.

Simmons sent out Kish Minerva (A2), Centre Stage (HP) and The
Other Austin (also HP) to land the spoils.
