30th May 06 Wobbling Dolly (HP), Monty Diamond (A3) and Grange Gift (A5) all won at Sheffield to give Jane Houfton a treble.
30th May 06 John Gammon took 3 of the first 4 races at Hove to register a hat-trick on the card courtesy of Glendale Joanne (A10), Eight Till Eight (A8) and Cotterills Cutie (A5).
30th May 06 Gary Baggs and Seamus Cahill both secured hat-tricks at Walthamstow. Baggs was on the mark with Cape Snow (S3), Westminsterpearl (A6) and Annandale Chief (A5). Cahill's trio came from Hollyoak Fir (S2), Alis Hope (A5) and Horseshoe Ace (A6). The last named has been unlucky on his first three starts but showed enough early pace to get a clear run and clocked an impressive 29.06.
30th May 06 Pat Curtin sent out 3 winners at Oxford. Rain Stops Play (KS), Solid Lua (KS) and Lizzies Angel (A9) were all successful.

29th May 06 The Ladbrokes Hurdle, Walthamstow. Gary Baggs sealed a treble on the card, the highlight being Kileen Tom who went quickest (29.55secs) when taking Heat 1 of the Ladbrokes Hurdle and kennelmate Four Minutes qualified when taking second, 5 1/4 lengths adrift of the winner. Mark Wallis also sent two through as ante-post favourite Ronnies Callum (29.57secs) defeated Club Jewel by 3 3/4 lengths. 
29th May 06 The Peter Derrick Puppy Sprint Final, Nottingham. Carly Philpott's Roxholme Ryan ran away with this contest, recording an emphatic 4 lengths win over David Pruhs's Bourne Special to take the £500 first prize. Philpott's other runner Roxholme Freddie took third.
29th May 06 Paul Young with 4 winners (Honcho Away, Xaar Arapaho, Roof Us and Bowmers Rip Off) and Jim Reynolds, 3 winners (Hugo By Design, Questhouse Mac and Aghadown Chief) dominated proceedings at Romford.
28th May 06 Billysroundabout (29.56secs), Fear Armani (29.72) and Go Commando (29.71) all won their respective Nigel Flowers Derby Trials as Mark Wallis registered a hat-trick at Coventry.
28th May 06 Silkey Sensation was nominated by Steve Harrison as a dog to follow and he duly landed his fourth Open from just 8 starts when taking the 470m Standard at Belle Vue. Holding on for a short-head success over Miles Galore, Harrison's kennel star justified 5/2 favourtism.
27th May 06 William Hill Derby Semi-Finals, Wimbledon. Reigning Derby champion Westmead Hawk came from a mile back to get up on the line and deny Mineola Farloe in breathtaking fashion in the second Semi. Cleenas Lady took third but Ballymac Pires was never able to land a blow for Carly Phipott, eventually coming home in fourth. Amarillo Slim made virtually all in the first Semi to defeat the running-on Westmead Joe by a fast diminishing 1 1/2 lengths. Outsider Clash Darby proved his Quarter-Final win to be no fluke when qualifying in third. Brian Clemenson was out of luck with both his runners, especially Bubbly Classic who had no run at all in fourth.
27th May 06 William Hill Champion Hurdle, Wimbledon. Heat 1. Magical Kingdom (28.63secs) showed blistering early pace to scoot clear for Mark Wallis and had enough in reserve to hold on from Brian Clemenson's Generous Man. Heat 2. Paul Sallis's Jills Fault qualified for the Final in second behind Taipan. Heat 3. Seamus Cahill's Druids Mickey Jo started long odds-on but was always on the back foot after missing his break and was a shock non-qualifier behind Stradeen Ouzo and Leemount Jazz.
27th May 06 William Hill Derby Plate, Wimbledon. Brian Clemenson's Shelbourne Poopa is mightily difficult to pass when on the bunny and she duly made all in Heat 3 to record the fastest time of the Heats with a 2 lengths defeat of Malbay Nikita (Seamus Cahill) in 28.97. Seamus Cahill's impressive pup Noirs Ted also made the Final when denying Brian Clemenson's Champagne Moment by the minimum margin in Heat 1. January Tiger started favourite for Heat 2 but suffered trouble more than once when trying to come from off the pace. Last year's Derby Semi-Finalist still qualified for the Derby Plate Final in second, some 3 1/2 lengths off runaway winner Well Tutored.

25th May 06 Mark Wallis sealed a six-timer on Walthamstow's mixed card with Extreme Power taking the A9 and Jiving Caribbean, Ronnies Callum, Sofem, Blackmagic Guy and Fear Kahn all taking Opens. Spoofy Doo also scored for Wallis at Belle Vue in the 3rd Heat of the Colin Harney Northern Oaks.
25th May 06 Speak Out Sam (A5), Bushpark Pete (A5) and Sandals, also A5 all won at Sittingbourne to register a hat-trick for Brian Booth.
25th May 06 Brian Clemenson has 2 runners in the Derby Semi Finals and his runners continue to prosper as he recorded a four-timer at Hove. Well Nell (A2), Princessmonalulu (OR), Droopys Shanks (OR) and Jonny Liar (OR) all scored.

23rd May 06 William Hill Derby Quarter-Finals, Wimbledon. Brian Clemenson enjoyed a brilliant evening at Plough Lane as his Shelbourne Poopa and Greenacre Lin took two of the supporting Opens before the Derby action got under way. It was then the turn of Bubbly Classic who returned to form with an emphatic win in the second Quarter-Final. Showing good early pace to lead at the first, he went on to record the fastest time of the night (28.52). Clemenson also sent out his Brookvill Genius to take third to give him two Semi-Finalists. Clash Darby caused the shock of the night when scoring at odds of 25/1 in the opening Heat, whilst Westmead Hawk and Westmead Joe are first and second favourite for outright honours after impressive performances in Heats 3 and 4. Carly Philpott will be delighted to have seen her sole remaining representative, Ballymac Pires take a close 2nd to the Hawk and has trap 6 again in the next round.
23rd May 06 Gary Baggs was in fine form at Walthamstow, Droopys Slopar (S3), Millions Girl (P6), Westminster Pearl (P7) and Bell Imperial (A8) all win to record a four-timer for the Slough handler.
22nd May 06 Carly Philpott's Roxholme Ryan (17.73secs) and Roxholme Freddie (17.74secs) took the first two Heats of the Peter Derrick Puppy Sprint at Nottingham and were joined in the Final by David Pruhs's Bourne Special who took Heat 3 in 17.77. The Final promises to be a thriller with all three finishing within 4 spots of each other.
21st May 06 Stones Puppy Silver Collar Final, Sheffield. Mark Wallis's Fear Armani was caught close home by 5/4 favourite Jeddies Liberty who scored by 3/4 of a length despite meeting trouble in running. Calzaghe Frisby was a further 1 1/2 lengths away in third. Our Top Dog section has been updated.
20th May 06 William Hill Derby, Third Round, Wimbledon. Heat 1. The Derby really starts to warm up from now on in and the opening Heat saw Amarillo Slim record his first win in impressive style in this year's Derby with a trap-to-line success in 28.56. Bubbly Classic qualified for Brian Clemenson in third but Carly Philpott saw both her Ballymac Magnet and Ballymac Droopys eliminated. Heat 2. Westmead Joe is through but the 6/4 favourite was beaten by Cleenas Lady and Kanes Blue. Heat 3. Hondo Dingle caused a shock when taking off to defeat Carly Philpott's Ballymac Pires 3 1/4 lengths in 28.78. Mark Wallis's Fear Mykeo had a luckless run back in fourth and fails to qualify. Heat 4. Fear Me landed the spoils but his time was slow on the night, recording 28.92 in beating Ice And Lemon by 1 1/2 lengths. Ballymac Rooster failed to qualify for Carly Philpott. Heat 5. Westmead Hawk continues to improve the further he progresses just as he did in 2005 and recorded the fastest time of the night (28.53) in easily beating Blue Majestic by 2 1/2 lengths. Courts Ad Be qualified in third for Mark Wallis. Heat 6. Seamus Cahill's Milldean Billy does not appear to run Wimbledon as well as Walthamstow but still qualified for the Quarter-Finals when taking second behind Larkhill Jim. Heat 7. Mineola Farloe, a Finalist in 2005 easily landed the spoils by 4 3/4 lengths in 28.64 from Yorkshire and Clash Derby. Heat 8. Brookvill Genius got his Derby campaign back on track when just holding on to deny Greenwell Flash for Brian Clemenson. Baran Zeus qualified for Ray Peacock in third.
19th May 06 Tinas In Control (A3), Ziggys Lass (A4) and Heads You Win all win to record a hat-trick for in-form Jane Houfton at Sheffield.
18th May 06 Proven Woods (A4), Fast Fit Classic (HP) and Boogaloo Boo (A7) all won at Monmore as Mel Baker registered a hat-trick on the card.
18th May 06 Williamhillcasino.com Test, First Round, Walthamstow. Daisyfield Seani took Heat 3 for Mark Wallis, giving him a treble on the card (Ronnies Callum and Go Commando also successful). Seamus Cahill's Caths Queeny took Heat two to deny Mark Wallis's Shelbourne Ryan by the narrowest of margins. Never Can Tell was quickest of the qualifiers when taking Heat 1.
17th May 06 Droopys Gervais, who recently won a Monkey Maiden Final at Harlow made the Final of the Monkey Standard at the same venue for Paul Young when taking his Heat by 1 3/4 lengths from Follys Bird.
16th May 06 Stones Puppy Silver Collar Semi-Finals, Sheffield. Fear Armani took the first Heat for Mark Wallis but had to work hard to deny Tahiti Pearl who was never far away but was still 3/4 of a length adrift at the line. Cuil Magic was a non qualifier in Heat 3 for David Pruhs after missing his break.
16th May 06 Litter sisters Westmead Olivia and Westmead Aoifa fought out a tremendous finish to the William Hill Prestige Stakes with the former holding on for a neck success with a further 3 3/4 lengths back to Rio Limo in third.
16th May 06 Club Jewel (H2), Posh Honcho (A6), Bell Supreme (S2) and Africa (A5) all win at Walthamstow to secure a four-timer for Mark Wallis.
16th May 06 Elaine Saville's Bitch Of The Year for Nottingham in 2005 Hurling Girl is going from strength to strength after a layoff, marathon trips await but she sealed her double when following up her recent A5 win in A4 class, again coming fast and late to land the spoils.
14th May 06 Faith Fighter was nominated as a dog to follow by Brian Booth and the son of Split The Bill easily landed his Heat of the Cearnsport Ltd Mini Standard at Sittingbourne. Recording 28.09, his time was easily the quickest of the qualifiers. Seamus Cahill's Gottabe Rooney is also through after taking Heat 3.
14th May 06 Mark Hill Marathon Cup, Coventry. Chris Allsopp's Rosshill View, who started 1/3 favourite, powered into the Final with a fine staying performance to record a 6 3/4 lengths win over Sandrock Dream. Rosshill View will have Head Iton Jordan to beat in the Final, the latter broke the track record when taking the second Semi in 56.62. On the same card Barrie Draper's smart Camp Bugler took Heat 1 of the Buildbase 280 Sprint Cup.
13th May 06 William Hill Derby Second Round. Heat 9. Yorkshire made all (missing plenty of trouble behind) in 28.99 to defeat Ray Peacock's Baran Zeus by 5 3/4 lengths. Mark Wallis's luckless run in round two continued as Billysroundabout failed to progress when taking fourth. Heat 10. Bubbly Classic justified 5/4 favouritism for Brian Clemenson by 1 1/2 lengths from Paul Young's improving pup Eye Onthe Veto. Heat 11. Shelbourne Laura, backed at big odds ante-post during the week recorded a trap-to-line success in denying Cleenas Lady by 2 1/2 lengths in the quickest time of the night. Heat 12. Vancouver Sparky got the better of arch rival and Seamus Cahill trained Milldean Billy in what could have been a difficult Heat to qualify from. Go Stephen qualified in third. Heat 13. Castrock Max was another to make all, recording 29.19 in beating Velvet Rebel 1 3/4 lengths. This was a horrible Heat which saw two fallers and one runner finish lame. Heat 14. Mark Wallis's evening went from bad to worse as Fear Khan failed to progress behind eventual winner Monkspath Willie. Ballymac Rooster, a short runner, made all until tiring close home both qualified in third for Carly Philpott. Heat 15. Amarillo Slim started odds-on but played second best to Zigzag Dutchman who came late and fast to win by 3/4 of a length. Son Of Phoebe missed out on qualification for Brian Clemenson. Heat 16. Siesta Frisby recorded one of the fastest times of the night to win this Heat for Mick Puzey but unfortunately finished lame.
13th May 06 John Smith's Extra Smooth Marathon Final, Peterborough. Star Of Dromin was impossible to oppose and she duly landed the spoils by 6 lengths from Elwick View. Mark Wallis's star took the £1,000 first prize to provide some form of compensation for a bad night at Wimbledon for the Lakenheath handler.
13th May 06 There was no stopping John Pearce at Hall Green as he recorded a four-timer thanks to Brinklow Ruby, Henry Hotspur, Shine and Intent.
12th May 06 William Hill Derby Second Round. Heat 1. Paul Young's Fear Nein Ein caused an upset when beating Carly Philpott's long odds-on shot Ballymac Pires by 1 3/4 lengths. Maximum Respect qualified in third but Ronnies Champion (Mark Wallis) and Clonbrin Show (Mick Puzey) were both unlucky and failed to progress. Heat 2. A bad night for Champion Trainer Mark Wallis saw January Tiger eliminated when managing only fourth behind Carly Philpott's Ballymac Droopys (winner in 29.07). Heat 3. Ninja Blue recorded a fast 28.80 when escaping all the trouble behind and demolished the field by 10 1/4 lengths. Get On Blackie took second for Seamus Cahill but Go Commando was another casualty for Mark Wallis when taking fourth and failing by a head to qualify. Heat 4. Kanes Blue made all in 28.88 to deny Greenwell Storm by 2 lengths. Noirs Ted, impressive winner in the opening round for Seamus Cahill is out after starting slowly and coming home 5th. Heat 5. Ray Peacock's Baran Mustang, a winner in round one followed up in round two and ran a blinder to defeat Bubbly Jason by 4 1/4 lengths in a quick 28.74. Carly Philpott sent another one through to round three when Ballymac Magnet claimed third. Heat 6. Zigzag Dutchy was another high profile casualty in a race won by Ice And Lemon (29.05). Brookvill Genius is through for Brian Clemenson after taking third. Heat 7. The eagerly awaited clash between Westmead Hawk and Fear Me saw the reigning Derby Champ score comfortably by 3 1/4 lengths from Fear Me when taking up the running at the fourth and win going away. Mark Wallis saw his Fear Mykeo qualify in third but Coventry Bees disappointed for Brian Clemenson and is out. Heat 8. Greenwell Flash went fastest of the night when recording 28.62 in any easy win over Larkhill Jim. Courts Ad Be goes through for Mark Wallis in third.
12th May 06 As well as Fear Nein Ein's success at Wimbledon (see above) Paul Young sent out an Open race four-timer at home track Romford. Xaar Commanche took his third race in four starts for the Wickford handler and he was followed into the winners enclosure by Eye Onthe Magic, Droopys Hotshot and Unlikely Dream.
12th May 06 Hurling Girl, bitch of the year for Nottingham 2005 continued her comeback for Elaine Saville when landing an A5. Competing over an inadequate trip, she confirmed her wellbeing when coming late and fast to deny Lady Greasbrough by 1 1/4 lengths.
12th May 06 Look Alive Randy (A6), Pound Queen (HP) and Smart Chick (A5) all won at Sheffield as Jane Houfton recorded a hat-trick.
12th May 06 Mick Puzey sealed a four-timer on Walthamstow's BAGS card thanks to Aero Desire (A5), Westmead Mary (A8), Rikishi (A6) and Small Bites (A3).
11th May 06 Mark Wallis sealed an Open race 5-timer and Seamus Cahill a hat-trick as the pair dominated proceedings at Walthamstow. Cahill's treble was spearheaded by Druids Mickey Jo who took the Hurdle Open in style while there were also wins for Ceroc Gypsy and Caths Queeny. Wallis got the ball rolling with prolific winner Roswell Spaceman in the Mini Standard, and he was followed into the winners enclosure by Questhouse Sash, Daisyfield Seani, Snappy Girl and Ronnies Flight.
11th May 06 Ray Peacock sealed a four-timer at Wimbledon courtesy of Raybeam (A6), Baran Nelson (S2), The Bottler (H1) and Arizona Paul (A9).
10th May 06 Jim Reynolds takes the first 3 races at Romford to register a hat-trick. Reprint (A8), Slim Quin Rose (A7) and Questhouse Mac (A7) all win.
10th May 06 Paul Young's Droopys Gervais makes all to take the £500 Monkey Maiden Standard at Harlow.

09th May 06 William Hill Prestige Stakes, Hall Green. 1st Semi. Teds Anchor justified favouritism to land the spoils but was 15 spots slower than Westmead Aoifa in the 2nd Semi. Mark Wallis's Blackmagic Guy has already contested the Finals of the Ladbrokes Golden Jacket and The Coral Regency this year and reached another when taking third behind Westmead Aoifa.
09th May 06 John Smith's Extra Smooth Marathon, Peterborough. Star Of Dromin started at odds of 1/8 in Heat Two for Mark Wallis and the result was never in doubt as she made all for a comfortable 12 3/4 lengths success over Abbey Queen. Her time of 49.88 was over half a second quicker than anything else in the opening rounds. Her win, added to Fear Armani's success at Sheffield and a graded treble at Walthamstow gave Wallis a five-timer across 3 meetings.
09th May 06 Barrie Draper recorded an across-the-card five timer as he sealed a double at Oxford courtesy of Magna Woods and Camp Bugler. Farloe Hood nearly completed the hat-trick but missed out by a neck. A further three winners followed for Draper at Sheffield, including Droopys Gucci, Magna News and Crackator Jewel (more below).
09th May 06 The Stones Puppy Silver Collar, Sheffield. Mark Wallis's Fear Armani showed a liking for Sheffield's 500m course when recording the fastest time of the opening eliminators in Heat 4. The son of Spiral Nikita came home 2 3/4 lengths clear of the Barrie Draper trained Farloe Booster in 29.57. Crackator Jewel was just over a length slower when taking Heat 3 in style for Barrie Draper. Cuil Magic took Heat 6 for David Pruhs in 29.69 easily beating Twenty Spots by 3 3/4 lengths. Blonde Jeannie, runner-up in the Peterborough Puppy Derby took Heat 1 in style when beating odds-on shot Jeddies Liberty 2 1/2 lengths.
09th May 06 Brian Clemenson's kennel remain in fine form as he heads to this weekend's second round Heats of the Derby. Honcho Lad (A2), Dark Cherokee (A1) and Outlaw Lucy (A6) all win at Hove.
08th May 06 Paul Young records a hat-trick at Romford as Droopys Boris (A6), Blue Beck (A1) and Cheeky Chalky (A8) all win.
08th May 06 Seamus Cahill's run of form at Walthamstow continued as he sent out another three winners on their BAGS card. Baby Bojangles, Westwood Field and Swift Bow were all successful.
06th May 06 William Hill Derby, 01st Round. Heat 20. Heat 20. Two leading contenders, Fear Me and Bubbly Jason are safely though, the former taking the honours by 3 lengths in 28.76 (fastest of the night). Mackrel Sky took third and Roman Observer is through in fourth. Heat 21. Brian Clemenson's Bubbly Classic suffered an odds-on reverse but took second behind Go Stephen by half a length in a relatively slow Heat, the winner clocking 29.22. Heat 22. Paul Young will have been delighted to see his promising pup Eye Onthe Veto record an impressive 3 3/4 lengths defeat on Cleenas Lady in 29.01. Blue Majestic, a Finalist last year is trough in third. Heat 23. Fortunately for connections of favourite Fear Mykeo this was another Heat where the first four progressed and Mark Wallis's inmate took 4th behind Shelbourne Laura. Chris Cronin has his first ever runner into round two after Ballymac Top claimed third. Heat 24. Mick Puzey's Siesta Frisby looks like he could go a few rounds judged on his 2 3/4 lengths triumph over Ice And Lemon. Heat 25. Greenwell Storm got up late to beat Nikita Tyrone a length in 29.04. Heat 26. Ballymac Droopys recorded the second fastest time of the night for Carly Philpott when beating Vancouver Sparky 3 1/4 lengths while Daisyfield Seani is eliminated for Mark Wallis. Heat 27. Noirs Ted, who was so impressive in the Heats of the Ocean Trailers Puppy Stakes at Walthamstow for Seamus Cahill is safely through after a comfortable defeat of Tuttles Ronaldo. Coming home 2 3/4 lengths to the good despite not leading early, he clocked 28.91. Heat 28. Zigzag Dutchy took a scrappy contest and despite being badly bumped at the first, Seamus Cahill's Milldean Billy goes through in third. Heat 29. Silbury Hawk was another Heat winner for Ray Peacock, getting up on the line to deny Gary Bagg's Hurling Honcho in 29.31.
06th May 06 Brian Clemenson, who saw the majority of his runners progress to round 2 of the Derby was also in form at his local track Hove, registering a four-timer. Flamboyant Hero (A2), Rascal Rocky (A2), Headleys Rocket (A5) and Droopys Riquelme (A1) were all successful.

Brian Clemenson predicted his Brookvill Genius might cause an upset in the Derby and his inmate looks capable of going a long way judged on his first round win. Showing great early pace to defeat Mick Puzey's Deceptive Pacey by 3 1/4 lengths he recorded 28.73. Puzey sent two through to the next round after his other representative, Clonbrin Show took third. The more fancied duo of Ranger Tom and Special Deal both failed to qualify. Heat 11. Derby champ Westmead Hawk got his defence off to a fine start, recording the quickest time of the night in defeating Amarillo Slim half a length in 28.53. Tyrur Paddy qualified in third. Heat 12. Brian Clemenson was able to send a further two runners through to round two as Shelbourne Poopa took second to Greenwell Flash and Son Of Phoebe took fourth in what was a messy race. Heat 13. Baran Mustang got up close home to score in 28.99 for Ray Pecock in a race that saw both Ian Aylward's Baliff Diesel and odds-on shot Kylegrove Flight eliminated. Heat 14.
