Caloona Striker finally landed a big one when scoring in facile
fashion, making all for a 3 1/2 lengths win from Call Girl.
Caloona Striker's task was made easier by the withdrawal of
Greenacre Lin but he could do no more than win and recorded an
impressive 40.82 seconds, his best run of the competition. Blackmagic Guy (Mark Wallis)
and Jordans Glory (Seamus
Cahill) were never able to get competitive.

Ocean Trailers Puppy
Stakes, Semi-Finals.Mick Puzey's Asia was a
well backed winner of Heat 1, making all to deny
Kingsmill Queen in 28.99.
Seamus Cahill's Noirs Ted again looked hugely impressive
when taking Heat 2 by 4 1/4 lengths in 28.80.
Paul Young's Droopys Hotshot
ran on for second, meaning his other runner and Derby contender
Eye Onthe Veto misses out on qualification. Gottabe Rooney was
unable to lead in Heat 3 as he had done in the previous
round but qualified in second for Cahill behind Zigzag Torphin.

card. Several quality races took place at Hove and
Brian Clemenson
gained some compensation for the withdrawal of Greenacre Lin
when taking 3 of the supporting Opens. Champagne Moment heads to
the Derby in fine form after a runaway success in the Brian
Philip Trophy despite meeting trouble, whilst Son Of Phoebe and
Flamboyant Hero also scored.
John Gammon notched a
double, the highlight being Free Air's win in the hurdle race
which was followed by Sailaway Lucy's win in an A7.

Wimbledon Derby Trials.Ray Peacock has high
hopes Baran Zeus will go a long way in this year's event and
duly took his latest trial with a 2 lengths defeat of Wheres Yer
Man in 29.10. Chris
Cronin's Coolavanny Cleo was not beaten far back in 4th, his
first start since January.
Mark Wallis took two of the trials with Ronnies Champion
winning in 29.11 and last year's Finalist January Tiger
comfortably landing the spoils in a decent 28.93.

wins again at Nottingham as part of a double. Lonesome Flash
also won for the Scothern handler, getting up close home by a
short-head. Saville reports Hurling Girl, Bitch Of The Year for
Nottingham, on the way back after a trial today and marathons
beckon all being well.

when breaking the track record for the 550m course. A winner in
front of the SKY cameras last week she came home over 5 lengths
clear of Unlikely Kate for her 4th consecutive win in 33.10 secs. Tinas Dubh
and Hopes And Fears were the other winners on the card for
Imperial Kennels.

the son of Top Honcho recorded a trap-to-line victory in the
£500 Betfred Casino Final. 7 times a winner at the track from
just 10 starts, Diesel recorded his fastest time at Nottingham
when stopping the clock in 29.54 for the 500m trip.

Final. Fire Height Dan took the
Peterborough Puppy Derby for
Mick Puzey in 2004 and the Walthamstow handler saw his
exciting Too Risky land this year's renewal with a 1 3/4 lengths
defeat of Blonde Jeannie. Too Risky was winning his 8th race in
12 career starts when taking the £3,000 first prize.

coming home 5 3/4 lengths clear of 16/1 shot Lockdale Lady for
Mark Wallis. Noirs Ted,
who missed his break at Oxford on Tuesday, was easily the
quickest of the night. Cahill struck again as Gottabe Rooney
sealed his hat-trick when escaping all the trouble behind,
scoring by 10 3/4 lengths in 28.93.
William Hill Pall Mall Final.
Seomra Rock landed the spoils from kennelmate Greenlough Power
in what was an eventful race. Vancouver Sparky headed from to
the traps from trap rise but was not able to turn in front,
eventually running on well to take third for

Jordans Glory took the first Semi by half a length from odds-on
shot Call Girl. Mark
Wallis's Blackmagic Guy is through to yet another Final
after taking second to Westmead Aoifa, the long odds-on shot
scoring by 6 1/2 lengths in 41.05.
