30th Mar 06 Hove staged two one-off Opens with Brian Clemenson taking both as part of a hat-trick on the mixed card. Generous Man took the Hurdle Open by 4 lengths, Brookvill Genius the Setemup Joe at Stud Stakes and Glengar Leader took the S2.
29th Mar 06 Chris Allsopp took the March Maiden 480 Cup Final at Coventry with his 7/1 shot Lorraines Star. The daughter of Top Honcho led at the run-in and held on by a head to take the £300 first prize.
29th Mar 06 Carly Philpott is sending out winners all over the country at the moment and her Roxholme Floss took the £300 March Bitches 480 Cup Final at Coventry when holding off the fast finishing Martinis Girl by a short-head.
28th Mar 06 The TV Trophy Final saw an outstanding performance from the Carly Philpott trained Roxholme Girl who landed the £6,000 first prize from outsider Head Iton Jordan. Roxholme Girl was denied the luxury of an early lead by Brian Clemenson's Greenacre Lin but her superior stamina saw her surge into the lead at the 6th (despite checking twice) and she held on from the fast finishing Head Iton Jordan by a length. The Coral Regency at Hove is next on the cards.
28th Mar 06 The Scottish Derby sponsored by the BGRB got under way at Shawfield and the opening Heats saw some pretty impressive performances from the leading contenders.

Heat 1. Zigzag Dutchy defeated Teds Anchor by 2 1/4 lengths in 29.21.

Heat 2. Mark Wallis has a strong team at Shawfield and last year's Derby Semi-Finalist January Tiger landed the spoils by a neck in 29.76.

Heat 3. Ballymac Niloc reached the Final of last year's renewal and he looks like going all the way again this year for the in form Carly Philpott. A trap to line success saw him come home fully 9 3/4 lengths clear of runner-up Calzaghe Boyo in 29.18.

Heat 4. Thunderbird Two showed his recent win over Westmead Hawk to be no fluke when scoring by a length from Derby favourite Fear Me in 29.21.

Heat 5. Westmead Hawk looks back to his brilliant best after taking this in a fastest of the night 29.10. The Hawk, who did not start too badly by his standards, took the lead at the third and quickly put 3 lengths between himself and the rest of the field.

Heat 6. Runner-up in the William Hill Blue Riband Kays Quest beat Pennys Axis by 4 3/4 lengths in 29.17.

Heat 7. Special Deal was another qualifier for Mark Wallis when making all to deny Ballymac Magnet (Carly Philpott) in 29.43. Wallis's Ronnies Champion missed out on qualification.

Heat 8. Mark Wallis will be mightily relieved to have seen his Fear Rien take third behind Hey Jasper. Suffering all sorts of trouble he held off Bell Devotion by head for the final qualification spot.

28th Mar 06 John Smith's Olympic, Hove. Brian Clemenson sent 4 through to the next round at his home track as Son Of Phoebe went quickest in Heat 3, making all in 29.70. Blakes Wonder took Heat 4 in almost identical fashion, stopping the clock in 29.77 when beating kennelmate Cinnamon Girl 2 1/4 lengths. Champagne Moment (8/11f) was baulked at the first but goes through after taking second to Wintons Scruffy. Clonbrin Show and Clonbrin Owl both missed out on qualification for Mick Puzey.
28th Mar 06 Graham Sharp sent out a hat-trick of winners at Walthamstow. I Cant Be Asked, Jalee Storm and Paxton Prince all first past the post.
27th Mar 06 Paul Sallis had a night to remember as his Driving Up Rob took the £2,000 Carling Guineas at Nottingham. The son of Droopys Vieri, who went so close in the Essex Vase last December gained his reward for some ultimately consistent efforts when holding off the Carly Philpott trained favourite Roxholme Boy by half a length. Velvet Rebel was a non runner.
27th Mar 06 Blue Beck (A1), Propose Parker (A6) and Izzit Me (S5) all win as Paul Young registers a hat-trick at Romford.
27th Mar 06 Luciesilvas, Grumpy Troopa and Ebony Ocean all score for Gary Baggs at Walthamstow as he secures another treble at the East London track.
26th Mar 06 Carly Philpott is not far off leading the Trainers Championship this year and an Open race hat-trick at Belle Vue confirms the kennel head to Tuesday's TV Trophy in fine form. Roxholme Freddie took the dash, Agincourt Archer took Heat 2 of the JP Doyle Bookmakers Gorton Cup and Ballymac Droopys Heat 3.
26th Mar 06 Ian Aylward's Baliff Diesel met trouble in-running twice but still managed to win his Heat of the JP Doyle Bookmakers Gorton Cup and record the third quickest time of the opening qualifiers. He ran on well in Heat 4 to collar long time leader Loughteen Bandit close home in 28.38.
26th Mar 06 Draw for Steward's Cup, Walthamstow. 1 Annes Honcho 2 Sofem 3 Romford Car Two 4 Kelleroo 5 Archers Sparkler 6 Jordans Glory
25th Mar 06 Next Tuesday's TV Trophy looks like being a classic and 4 Trainers from this website are represented. Here, talking exclusively to greyhoundtrainers.com they give us their thoughts on this year's Final.

Rosshill View. This is my first SKY TV Finalist and this has been her target for some time. She was the second fastest qualifier when winning her Heat but Roxholme Girl and Greenacre Lin are superstars! If she can be handy early on she stays really well so will have half a chance. I'm just delighted to be in the Final. Chris Allsopp.

Greenacre Lin. She is in exceptional condition and has recovered from her Heat very well indeed. She should improve too as she always seems to run a track better after having had one look. She's housed in one again but the traps at Belle Vue are slightly off the fence and that should help her. Brian Clemenson.

Shes The Deal. We're well drawn in 6 so have no complaints there but we do have two exceptional greyhounds to beat. Greenacre Lin and Roxholme Girl did almost identical splits in their Heats, and whilst you never want trouble in a race, there is a chance they wont have it they're own way up front. This has been a great race for me, winning it 3 times in the last 4 years and I'm thrilled to be in the Final again this year. Paul Young.

Roxholme Girl. The bitch is in fine form. We would much preferred to have been drawn inside of Greenacre Lin and that is our only worry. That said, on Semi-Final form you have to say Roxholme Girl is the one they all have to beat. Carly Philpott.

25th Mar 06 A reminder that Droopys Oasis's stud fee, for a limited time is just £100 less £25 for luck.
25th Mar 06 Brian Clemenson is full of confidence Greenacre Lin will run well in Tuesday's TV Trophy and a four-timer on Hove's graded card confirms his kennel are in great heart. Flamboyant Hero (A3), Centaur Prince (A3), Shelbourne Venus (E1) and Binsted Warrior all win.
25th Mar 06 Style Council (A7), Kish Minerva (A2) and Official Leader (A3) all score as Paula Simmons secures a treble at Hall Green. Kish Minerva is for sale at just £400! Please visit Paula's website for further details.
25th Mar 06 Gary Baggs saw his Annes Honcho cause a shock in the Steward's Cup (Heat 3) when getting up close home to deny Romford Car Two. She lost the lead at the fifth to Romford Car Two and looked destined for second but she came again to get up in the last strides and deny the favourite at odds of 10/1.
25th Mar 06 Seamus Cahill's Jordans Glory followed his recent win in front of the SKY cameras with a victory over ante-post favourite Sofem in the first Heat of the Steward's Cup at Walthamstow. Mark Wallis's Sofem set out to make all but was taken on at the fifth by the eventual winner who went on to score by 1 1/4 lengths in 39.78 (quickest of the night). Other qualifiers were Archers Sparkler and Kelleroo.
25th Mar 06 John Simpson followed up his recent hat-trick with another treble at Wimbledon courtesy of Well Done Vieri, Hit Single and Blue N Gold.

25th Mar 06 Pat Curtin's kennel are in flying form at present and his runners with the 'Howay Then' prefix are spearheading his assault on the top graded races at Oxford. Howay Then Adam took the A1 which followed two recent A1 successes by Howay Then Boss. Roeview Ranger and Snazzy Dancer were the other two winners on the card for the Harefield handler.
24th Mar 06 Coral Sprint, Romford. It was a night of shocks at the Essex track with several of the opening Heats seeing fancied runners eliminated and several dogs suffering trouble in running. No fewer than 15 runners in the first four Heats were baulked!

Jim Reynolds nominated only one dog to follow for 2006, Borna Sailor. The son of Borna Pilot went quickest of the night's qualifiers when missing all the trouble and going some 12 lengths clear in 24.28. Reynolds also took Heat 2 with shock 10/1 winner Fine Top.

Paul Young's Rough Trader was a surprise winner of the recent Steve Simmons March Hare Trophy over course and distance and proved that to be no fluke when making all for a 2 1/2 lengths success from Rough Native.

It was not a good night for Champion Trainer Mark Wallis who, despite sending out two winners earlier on the card saw hot ante-post favourite Fear No One and kennelmate Ronnies Hare both fail to progress.

24th Mar 06 As well as sending two through to the next round (see above) Jim Reynolds saw his recent Trafalgar Puppy Cup winner Horseshoe Ping trounce the field when coming home 6 1/4 lengths clear in 24.42 in the Coral Puppy Open. This takes Horseshoe Ping's winning sequence to 5.

23rd Mar 06 Paul Garland was also in form on the above card. His Fall In Line dead-heated with Senahel Agathe, Feora Feild justified favouritism and Cunning Dandy secured the hat-trick with an easy A2 success.
23rd Mar 06 Brian Clemenson will be hoping for another big race win with Greenacre Lin next Tuesday and he confirmed his string are in fine order with a five-timer at Hove. Kings And Clowns (A4), Blakes Money (A3), Droopys Riquelme (A2), Buy The Rumour (A2) and Generous Man (H1) all score.
23rd Mar 06 Moyar Sand, Moyar Okee, Dairyland Shawne and Cavies Tank all won at Monmore as Pat Rosney recorded a four-timer on the card.
21st Mar 06 Westmead Joe will now join Westmead Hawk and contest the Scottish Derby after getting up close home to beat Kays Quest in a thrilling Blue Riband Final at Hall Green. Mick Puzey's Clonbrin Show was never able to get in a blow but ran with credit, coming home 4th. Our Top Dog table has now been updated.
21st Mar 06 Seamus Cahill's Jordans Glory took the 670m stayers race on the Blue Riband card when beating Westmead Swift a length. Gary Baggs was out of luck with his star hurdler Strong Flow who was beaten a head and a neck in one of the messiest hurdle races seen for some time.

19th Mar 06 Peter Binns Memorial Invitation 680, Coventry. A quality renewal was taken by Romford Car Two, beating favourite Caloona Striker 1 3/4 lengths. Show Domingo for David Pruhs and Blackmagic Guy for Mark Wallis took 3rd and 4th respectively.
18th Mar 06 TV Trophy news. Carly Philpott's magical run of form continued as ante-post favourite Roxholme Girl broke the track record at Belle Vue with an emphatic 6 3/4 lengths win from Headit On Jordan. Roxholme Girl showed great pace from the traps and made all, stopping the clock in 54.33. Chris Allsopp's Rosshill View was sent off 8/1 for Heat 2 but she belied those odds when coming home 2 1/2 lengths clear of Droopys Aoife in 54.53. Rosshill View still had 5 lengths to make up on Mark Wallis's Star Of Dromin with a circuit to go but stayed on to great affect and led at the 7th before pulling clear of her rivals. Heat 3. Brian Clemenson's Greenacre Lin showed no ill-affects from her recent tumble when justifying favouritism. The recent Golden Jacket winner made all for a 1 1/2 lengths success in 54.68, denying the running on Shes The Deal for Paul Young.
