The TV Trophy Final saw an
outstanding performance from the
Carly Philpott
trained Roxholme Girl who landed the £6,000 first prize from
outsider Head Iton Jordan. Roxholme Girl was denied the luxury

length. The Coral Regency at Hove is next on the cards.

3/4 lengths clear of runner-up Calzaghe Boyo in 29.18.
Heat 4.
Thunderbird Two showed his recent win over Westmead Hawk to be
no fluke when scoring by a length from Derby favourite Fear Me
in 29.21.
Heat 5.
Westmead Hawk looks back to his brilliant best
after taking this in a fastest of the night 29.10. The Hawk, who
did not start too badly by his standards, took the lead at the
third and quickly put 3 lengths between himself and the rest of
the field.
Heat 6.
Runner-up in the William Hill Blue Riband Kays
Quest beat Pennys Axis by 4 3/4 lengths in 29.17.

Mark Wallis when making
all to deny Ballymac Magnet (Carly
Philpott) in 29.43. Wallis's Ronnies Champion missed out on
qualification.

Hove.Brian Clemenson

Next Tuesday's TV Trophy looks like
being a classic and 4 Trainers from this website are
represented. Here, talking exclusively to greyhoundtrainers.com
they give us their thoughts on this year's Final.
Rosshill View.
This is my first SKY TV Finalist and this has been her target
for some time. She was the second fastest qualifier when winning
her Heat but Roxholme Girl and Greenacre Lin are superstars! If
she can be handy early on she stays really well so will have
half a chance. I'm just delighted to be in the Final.
Chris Allsopp.
Greenacre Lin.
She is in exceptional condition and has recovered from her Heat
very well indeed. She should improve too as she always seems to
run a track better after having had one look. She's housed in
one again but the traps at Belle Vue are slightly off the fence
and that should help her.
Brian Clemenson.
Shes The Deal.
We're well drawn in 6 so have no complaints there but we do have
two exceptional greyhounds to beat. Greenacre Lin and Roxholme
Girl did almost identical splits in their Heats, and whilst you
never want trouble in a race, there is a chance they wont have
it they're own way up front. This has been a great race for me,
winning it 3 times in the last 4 years and I'm thrilled to be in
the Final again this year.
Paul Young.
Roxholme Girl.
The bitch is in fine form. We would much preferred to have been
drawn inside of Greenacre Lin and that is our only worry. That
said, on Semi-Final form you have to say Roxholme Girl is the
one they all have to beat.
Carly Philpott.
25th Mar 06

Gary Baggs saw his
Annes Honcho cause a shock in the Steward's Cup
(Heat 3) when getting up close home to deny Romford Car Two. She lost the
lead at the fifth to Romford Car Two and looked destined for second but she came
again to get up in the last strides and deny the favourite at
odds of 10/1.
25th Mar 06

Jordans Glory followed his recent win in front of the SKY
cameras with a victory over ante-post favourite Sofem in the
first Heat of the Steward's Cup at Walthamstow.

It was a night of shocks at the Essex
track with several of the opening Heats seeing fancied runners
eliminated and several dogs suffering trouble in running. No
fewer than 15 runners in the first four Heats were baulked!
Jim Reynolds nominated
only one dog to follow for 2006, Borna Sailor. The son of Borna
Pilot went quickest of the night's qualifiers when missing all
the trouble and going some 12 lengths clear in 24.28. Reynolds
also took Heat 2 with shock 10/1 winner Fine Top.

Trader was a surprise winner of the recent Steve Simmons March
Hare Trophy over course and distance and proved that to be no
fluke when making all for a 2 1/2 lengths success from Rough
Native.

Wallis who, despite sending out two winners earlier on the
