Jim Reynolds landed the
£1,000 Mike Alan Trafalgar Puppy Cup at Oxford with Horseshoe
Ping. The son of Top Honcho won an A6 at Walthamstow in December
by 8 3/4 lengths and has done nothing but improve in recent
months. Recording his 12th win from 20 starts, Horseshoe Ping
showed great early pace and was soon clear of his rivals, coming
home 3 1/4 lengths clear of Blakes World.

Monmore Puppy Derby Final. Ballymac
Charley won a rough decider but caped an unbelievable day for
the Carly
Philpott kennel when making virtually all to take the
£10,000 first prize. Calzaghe Boyo was an unlucky loser in
second, 1/2 a length away at the line. Rising star Ballymac
Charley, now unbeaten in 6 starts will have the Derby on his
agenda after this success. Philpott also secured a 1-2 in the
£2,000 Cheltenham Festival Stales when Ballymac Rooster got up
close home to deny kennel mate Roxholme Era.

winning at Swindon. Showing decent early, he eventually got the
better of long time leader Crossfield Ben on the run-in to win
by 3/4 lengths with Droopys Bertie a further 2 3/4 lengths away
in third.

Mark Wallis took 4 of
the 8 Trainers Championship races with Roswell Spaceman
(Sprint), Star Of Dromin (Stayers), January Tiger (Standard) and
Blackmagic Guy (Stayers). With all his runners finishing no
worse than 4th he sealed the competition when Blackmagic Guy
took the penultimate race. The turning point was probably the
fall of Charlie Lister's Bat On (race won by January Tiger)
which left Wallis clear on points after Lister had started to
close menacingly on his lead. Congratulations go to

Derby Champion Westmead Hawk is
back! In a race that was marred by an injury to the
Brian Clemenson
trained Shelbourne Nina who broke down when clear of the field.
Westmead Hawk ran on in familiar fashion to land the spoils
going away by 3 lengths from ante-post Derby favourite Fear Me.

Show got up close home in Heat 3 to deny Greenlough Power by the
minimum distance. Ante-post favourite Westmead Joe suffered a
shock reverse in Heat 2 but qualified in second behind Kingsmill
Again who made all for a lengths success.

the 3 Semi-Finals of the Bryne Bros Cheltenham Festival
Greyhound Stakes and she won them all! Roxholme Earl, Roxholme
Era and Ballymac Rooster all powered their way up the Cheltenham
hill for victory and will contest the £2,000 Final on Thursday.

Opening Heat of the Blue Riband at Hall Green but failed to

making all. He stopped the clock in 26.96 in beating Furlong
Flame 1/2 a length. Both Roxholme Freddie (Carly

Cronin) suffered trouble in running and missed out of
qualification in Heat 2.

Carly Philpott's Ballymac Charley, who
faced his toughest assignment to-date in the Ladbrokes Monmore
Puppy Derby Semi-Final kept his unbeaten record intact by the
narrowest of margins when holding off Calzaghe Boyo by a
short-head in 28.44 in Heat 3. Calzaghe Frisby, Chakalak
Harmony, Jazz Hurricane and Shelbourne Laura were the other
qualifiers. Brian
Clemenson's Coventry Bees met all kinds of trouble and was
eliminated when coming home 5th in a very messy first Heat.

returning from season. Up against improving stayers Romford Car
Two and Smooth Darika she made virtually all the running to deny
Jordans Glory (her persistent challenger throughout). Smooth
Darika ran on for third.

superlative front running display. Starting at prohibitive odds

made the trip to Hove worthwhile for

Fear No One, runner-up for Greyhound Of The Year 2005 for
Mark Wallis made a
successful return to the track at Romford when going quickest of
the the three Heat winners. Making all, he scored by 1 3/4
lengths from Bright Prospect in 24.19 in Heat 2. Heat 1 saw a
win for Droopys Pakie for
Maxine Locke (24.31) with Questhouse Ellie second for
Wallis, whilst Heat 3 went to Horseshoe Hero (24.52) for
Jim Reynolds, who beat
Paul Young's Rough Trader.

Heats saw classy performances from Ballymac Charley for
Carly Philpott
and Brian Clemenson's
Coventry Bees. Ballymac Charley remains unbeaten after cruising
home in 27.89 in the Opening Heat by 6 1/2 lengths. Coventry
Bees put a disappointing run at Wimbledon behind him when making
all in Heat 2, stopping the clock in 27.95 for the 480m.

Seamus Cahill had a
night to remember when winning the Ladbrokes.com Arc with his
improving Milldean Billy. Cahill admitted the race "Was not a
classsic" but "Milldean Billy showed a lot of guts and
determination to win." With the market principles Vancouver
Sparky and Mahers Boy continually bumping each other at the
first and third, it was left to the strong running Milldean
Billy, who had the run of the race, to land the spoils by 1 1/4
lengths in 29.19.

Seamus Cahill will
have been delighted to have seen his BGRB Hurdler Of The Year
Druids Mickey Jo return from a lay-off in style to land the
Ladbrokes.com Hurdle in emphatic fashion. Amazingly, Druids
Mickey Jo completed the hurdle course in 29.17, two spots
quicker the Milldean Billy in the Arc! Gary Baggs's Strong Flow
had no answer to the winner but ran a fine race in second, 3 1/2
lengths adrift at the line.
