27th Feb 06 Don't forget Walthamstow's Ladbrokes.com Arc Final takes place tomorrow and is live on SKY. Paul Garland, Mick Puzey, Seamus Cahill and Mark Wallis are all represented in a quality Final.
27th Feb 06 Carly Philpott's Ballymac Niloc suffered a shock reverse at odds of 4/11 in the Coors Fine Light Beer Provincial Cup at Nottingham. In what was ultimately a messy race with the whole field suffering some sort of trouble at some stage, Ballymac Nicol eventually did well to be beaten just a length and a head when third behind Canary Sky.
27th Feb 06 Jim Reynold's kennel continue to send out plenty of winners at Romford and the Ockendon based handler sent out another hat-trick of winners courtesy of Madam Oasis, Sawadee and Knockembacknutta.

26th Feb 06 A new greyhound forum has just been launched. Click here to check out greyhoundscene.
25th Feb 06 St Leger winner Greenacre Lin took the Ladbrokes Golden Jacket in style for Brian Clemenson when making all for a 3 1/4 lengths win from the fast finishing Roxholme Girl. Quick away, Greenacre Lin avoided all the trouble behind and soon had the race in safe keeping, sprinting clear of the field after just two bends. Carly Philpott's Roxholme Girl ran an amazing race to finish so close to the winner. She headed for the rails as soon as the lids rose and after crowding at the first, she made up an enormous amount of ground to claim second, with a further 5 lengths back to Call Girl. Our Top Dog standings have been updated.
25th Feb 06 Both Paul Young and Martyn Wiley send out a hat-trick of winners at Romford. Young scores with Lika Flyer (A1) who was winning his fourth race from 5 starts, Kirstys Touch (A4) and Map Again (A6). Wiley took the two stop graded staying races on the card with Mercury Diamond and Woo Hoo whilst Raging Road took the A3.
25th Feb 06 Rubys Champ, Farloe Blonde and Im Luvin Angels all score at Oxford to give in-form Pat Curtin another treble.
25th Feb 06 David Pruhs's Greenside Honcho was denied by the narrowest of margins in the Ladbrokes.com Spring Trophy Final when an unlucky loser behind Xamax Johndee at Crayford. Badly crowded at halfway Greenside Honcho ran on well at the finish but the line came to soon.
24th Feb 06 Paul Young registers an Open race hat-trick at Romford. Final Force easily landed the Maiden Stayers whilst Old Jamaikey and Rough Trader also won for the Wickford handler.
24th Feb 06 Treble for Barrie Draper at Sheffield as Hidden Diamond (A2), Crackator Jewel (A3) and Fintans Gwennie (A6) land the spoils.

23rd Feb 06 Brian Clemenson, who spoke to greyhoundtrainers.com earlier today on the chances of Greenacre Lin in the Golden Jacket (see below) was in tremendous form at his home track Hove where he sent out an amazing 8 winners on the all-Open race card. Cooly Baloo (4/6f), Glengar Leader (5/2f), Blakes Wonder (1/2f), Princessmonalulu (5/4jf), CinnamonGirl (7/4f), Shelbourne Poopa (5/4f), Champagne Moment (Evsf) and Free As Air (7/4) all scored on a memorable night for the Billingshurst handler.
23rd Feb 06 Ladbrokes.com Arc. Semi-Final Heat 2. Paul Garland's Vancouver Sparky showed brilliant early pace to turn in front and never saw another dog when coming home 4 lengths clear of Erinaceous Star in 28.70 (just two spots quicker than Mahers Boy in Heat 1). Mick Puzey's Clonbrin Owl qualified in 3rd.
23rd Feb 06 Ladbrokes.com Arc. Semi-Final Heat 1. Mahers Boy produced an almost carbon copy of his second round performance when recording a trap-to-line success in 28.72. Seamus Cahill's Milldean Billy ran on well for second but was 2 1/2 lengths adrift at the line whilst Mark Wallis's Moscow Sandy flew late to take 3rd, a further 1 3/4 lengths away.
23rd Feb 06 Brian Clemenson told greyhoundtrainers.com he is looking forward to the Golden Jacket Final this Saturday despite admitting again that Trap 1 does not suit his staying star. "On this occasion being in one might not be such a bad thing. I can see them all going to the first together, and if that's the case, I'd rather have the inside. She shows great pace from the second bend so if she turns in front we have a marvellous chance" said Clemenson of his St Leger winner. He added "I'm really happy with the way the bitch is at the moment". Greenacre Lin is currently third favourite behind Roxholme Girl and Caloona Striker.
23rd Feb 06 Carly Philpott's Ballymac Charley kept his unbeaten record intact when taking one of the Midland Puppy Derby Trials at Monmore. Showing good early pace he came home 2 1/4 lengths clear in 28.83. By far the quickest Trial Stakes winner was Westmead Ash in 28.44.

21st Feb 06 Hall Green staged an Open Marathon which attracted a quality field including Ericas Equity for Paul Young and Rosshill View for Chris Allsopp amongst others but it was Countrywidecapel who stole the show, making all to land the spoils by an impressive 6 3/4 lengths. Rosshill View ran on for second whilst Droopys Aoife took 3rd.
21st Feb 06 Ian Aylward had just the one runner at Belle Vue but the long journey from Lincolnshire proved worthwhile when Baliff Versace, a sister to Derby hope Baliff Diesel came from near last to first to land the A2 on the card by a length.
21st Feb 06 Brian Clemenson, who will be looking forward to seeing Greenacre Lin run in the Golden Jacket Final this Saturday sent out an Open race double on Oxford's mixed card including Bubbly Classic, a 33/1 shot for the Derby and one of his nominated dogs to follow in 2006. Farloe Focus took the second Semi, beating favourite Canary Sky by 2 1/4 lengths in 29.73 (+.50).
20th Feb 06 Paul Young notched another treble at Romford with Rabs Brad (A3), Millview Matador (A4) and Lavender Lad (A8) all winning.
20th Feb 06 Paul Garland was naturally delighted with Vancouver Sparky's performance at Walthamstow on Saturday but is now looking forward to the Semi-Final this Thursday. "You'd like to think that with his draw in the Semis, barring accidents he goes through" said Garland. The Fawkham based handler noticed that Mahers Boy is quoted as a middle runner in the Racing Post for his Semi. "If that's the case, and it isn't an error, I wouldn't want us to be on the outside of him should we meet in the Final. All Finals are one-offs but with a slice of luck we can get through on Thursday and go on to win it."
20th Feb 06 Darran Keefe, Assistant to Carly Philpott was thrilled with Roxholme Girl's performance in her Golden Jacket Semi and is looking forward to this Saturday's Final. "She ran great Saturday and has come out of the race well. We're happy enough with Trap 3 as she seems to be breaking well from there" stated Keefe. Roxholme Girl remains the solid favourite with the layers to land another Category One.

Dunmurry Curry qualified in 3rd.
18th Feb 06 Ladbrokes.com Arc. 2nd Round Heat 4. Carly Philpott's Ballymac Rooster goes down as an unlucky loser when meeting trouble, just failing to turn the first in front and finding his path blocked again at the second. Greenlough Power won in the slowest of the four Heats (29.22) with Erinaceous Star taking 2nd and Brave Falcon 3rd.
18th Feb 06 After his disappointment earlier in the week in the Springbok Final Ray Peacock has quickly got himself back amongst the winners and he literally dominated Wimbledon's card. Baran Titan (A9), Notanotherjayne (S5), Polo Spirit (H2), Norte Helen (A6), Miss Thunder (S3) and Baran Mustang (A2) all past the post first to give the Wickford handler 6 winners on the card. 18th Feb 06 Ladbrokes Golden Jacket Semi-Final Heat 3. Brian Clemenson's Greenacre Lin made a mockery of those who said Trap 1 would prove her undoing when showing good early pace to track the favourite Solid Money through the first two turns. It was at the second that she took up the running and simply powered clear to beat the running-on Call Girl by 2 3/4 lengths in 46.54. The Final next Saturday promises to be an absolute cracker!
