Derby Final.Maxine Locke's
Bonville Buster trailed the field going into the first
bend and despite making up any amount of ground on the
impressive Westmead Prince turning for home, he was
still a length down at the line. Bonville Buster was
eventually over 5 lengths clear of the third dog home,
the David Pruhs'
Trained Hes On Fire in what looked a quality renewal.

Bourne Special did not come
out of the traps in the straightest of lines but still
had far too much early for the remainder of the field as
David Pruhs's
runner went on to make all in the £1,000 Visit McCauleys
Bookies 420 Stakes Final at Peterborough.

Swift Pawnee railed like a cat and ran on well to take
the £500 McCauleys Puppy 605 Stakes on the Peterborough

took a couple of Opens on Sky in midweek and his run of
form continued back at home track Hove with a
four-timer. Lifes Lukey, Shelbourne Amber, Generous Man
and Lady Sky were all successful for the Billingshurst
handler.

Peterborough Puppy
Derby Semi-Finals. Maxine Locke was in
fine form at Romford (see below) and a memorable night
was sealed when Bonville Buster missed all the trouble
at the first and ran on well to take the 2nd Semi. He's
On Fire qualified from the first Heat for
David Pruhs
when taking second behind Westmead Prince who clocked
25.29 (fastest time of the night). Pruhs had better luck
either side of the Semi Finals when Movealong Magic,
Bourne Special and Early Trial taking supporting Opens.

Phil Broome's kennel are in
decent form and Surelines Tutor caused a minor upset
when taking Heat 2 of the Bet In Spain with McCauleys
Bookies 605m Stakes at Peterborough. Ashwell Margo
continues to improve at a rate of knots and sealed a
double for the kennel when easily taking the last race
on the card.

480 Cup at Coventry worth £300 to the winner went the
way of Steve
Harrison's kennel when Silkey Sensation made all to
easily beat the odds-on favourite Bright Landing.

Clemenson Trained pair, Brookvill Genius and Cash
For Kate made the long journey from Billingshurts
worthwhile when taking supporting races on the Pall Mall
card. Cash For Kate was recording her first win for
Clemenson despite losing all momentum when having to
check at the third.
Scottish Derby,
Shawfield. Blue Square Derby
favourite Fear Haribo could not have been more
impressive when taking the opening Heat in 28.80 by 5
1/2 lengths. In other Heats, everyone will have their
fingers crossed for Rough Ronaldinho who moved off at
the first and came home last. In Heat 3 the odds-on
Droopys Electric was caught close home by Greenwell
Storm whilst Heat 4 saw the shock elimination of last
year's winner Fear Me.
Frank Gallant's
impressive strike-rate in 2007 continued with a
hat-trick at Mildenhall. Lou Lous Honcho (S2), Mama Blue
Mia (S3) and Dannys Mate (A3) all win for the in-form
kennel.

Cup Final, Walthamstow.Mick Puzey is
enjoying a fine season and added to his recent Arc
success by landing the £2,500 Stewards Cup with Mitzie.
In a race with plenty of incidents, the daughter of Just
The Best ran on well to beat Classy Star 1 1/4 lengths.
Favourite January Tiger came together with Jeddies
Liberty more than once and both the leading fancies
finished down the field.

Derby.Ian Aylward's
Ludworth Tucker simply took off in his Heat to record an
emphatic 5 1/2 lengths defeat of Harriet Grace in the
fastest time of the night. The son of Hondo Black
recorded 25.71 and never saw another dog.
Maxine Locke's
Bonville Buster showed a real liking for the track when
winning his Trial Stakes. Never the fastest away,
'Buster' got up close home to defeat the
Jim Reynolds's
trained Kilsheelan by a neck.

enjoying a good run and another double was registered at
Oxford with wins from Elm Heartache and Come On Smiley.

night's meeting at Romford. Alison Ingram's Ronin was
off the mark at the 4th attempt, and the July 05 son of
Tucks Mein looks worth following after a 5 lengths
success in A4 company.

Frank Gallant's
kennel have enjoyed a mixed start to the year but an A1
double at Yarmouth on Saturday (Cunning Kerry winning
third consecutive race) saw them move to 16 winners from
just 56 runners in 2007. A near 30% strike-rate is
little consolation for the loss of their kennel stalwart
Oklahoma Pride who died of a heart attack at the kennels
two weeks ago. Looking forward, the kennel are pleased
to announce that their star, Sindirana will return to
the track in a few weeks after seasonal rest.

out of luck in the Prestige Final at Hall Green
won by Larkhill Bird. Local Knowledge did not get the
greatest of runs but ran with great credit to be beaten
just 3 lengths.

Walthamstow.Mark Wallis's
January Tiger (39.58 secs) easily beat kennelmate
Roswell Bluesky in Heat 1. All the leading contenders
for outright honours made it through to the Final
including Jeddies Liberty who went quickest of the night
in Heat 2 (39.50 secs). Mitzie was a shock winner of
Heat 3 for Mick
Puzey, beating odds-on shot Romford Car Two (met
trouble in-running) by 2 lengths in 39.76.
