Patricia Cowdrill has been training at Shaw Cottage Kennels for the last seven years. Previous to that, Patrice was assistant trainer to her late husband Pat Ryan for 23 years.

The Elderberry dogs have been at the kennels for over 20 years. Patrice regularly sends out many graded at Monmore Stadium week in week out.

Patricia always insists on plenty of room and space for her dogs, and is about to embark on building a new kennel and treatment block which will create kennel space for another 24 dogs.

Patricia prides herself on feeding her dogs only the best produce and feed. We also have plenty of paddock space where the dogs can come out and relax everyday.

Our gallop has been especially designed to build up our dogs stamina, with a very stiff 250 yard peat uphill gallop. The dogs are sent up the gallop on a regularly basis. This enables us to keep them nice and fit and primed for race days.

The kennels are set on a 10 acre site. 5 acres are allocated for breeding and rearing of pups. Some of which are available for sale.
